- 2010 will be the start of a 5 year pasture
management plan to achieve the following:
- Sustainable pasture management using crop and stock
grazing rotation.
- Improve soil and pasture quality throughout this year
and beyond.
- Increase poultry flock size for egg production
(currently at 80 hens).
- Incorporate renewable solar energy into our farm
practices - electricity, pumping.
- Currently searching for viable wind turbine options
to augment the solar power.
- Utilize on-site spring-fed well water for livestock
in a more efficient manner.
- Permanent underground feeds to pasture watering
sites.
- Install permanent concrete feeding pad.
- Purchase new loafing shed.
